Polyester Allergies or Static Itching

I can't wear polyester clothing as I get so much static and the really bad itching. It drives me crazy. I have to wear 100% cotton shirts that don't iron very well and trousers that look smart is a nightmare. I wish I could find out how to cure it, get round it or stop it.
