Crusader Kings II Update 2.1

As you may have guessed, I am a big Crusader Kings II fan and it is probably up there as the best or second best with Football Manager.

However, a few days with no prior notice or warning, the game automatically updated on Steam even with Auto-Updates off. Now all my old save games with hundreds of hours of game-play and fun don't work with the new version. How frustrating is this....AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

Please note Paradox, please can you get a message in game or something next time saying something like - "there is a new update for CKII that will allow you play the new add on ..... This update means however that your previous save games will no longer work. Do you wish to update?"

Or better still, make the updates work without the need to break our save games.
